Hello, I am about to replace the rotted floor in my 1989 Bayliner Capri. I have removed all carpet and am about to begin taking out the floor. I wanted to ask if anyone has any suggestions on what the best way to seperate the floor from the hull is.
Then you have to reglass the floor, because in a glass boat, a lot of the strength comes from the floor. It takes a lot of work, but still can be fun. But, if you want to do it just to fix your boat, and not for the fun of it, I wouldn't recommend it. But if you do, make sure you still have another boat to fish from.
Re: Replacing Boat Floor Depends on how your floor got soft or rotten to begin with, usually when the floor is bad it has leaked into the hull of the boat, causing the stringers, support beams, to rot.
